Liverpool have won the race to sign Wycombe Wanderers youngster Jordan Ibe, according to talkSPORT.
Ibe netted his first professional goal, on his first start for the club, against Sheffield Wednesday in October, an individual effort which alerted the number of Premier League clubs to his services.
Manchester United were one of those who were reportedly interested, but it appears that Liverpool have won the race for a player his club captain Gareth Ainsworth has labelled as 'something special.
The club recently snapped up Seyi Ojo from Milton Keynes Dons ahead of Chelsea, and after signing Sebastian Coates and Jordan Henderson during the summer, Liverpool are clearly setting themselves up for the future.
Furthermore, the extension of John Flanagan and Jack Robinson's contracts in the summer, hints that the Anfield club are keen to breath new life into their squad.
All eyes will now be on Liverpool to see whether they invest in a new striker in the January window to assist Luis Suarez.
