Liverpool Consider January Move for £15m Celtic & Rangers Pair to Resolve Problem Areas

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is said to be considering moves for SPL pair Nikica Jelavic and Biram Kayal. The Scottish boss is keen to bring in reinforcements in January to help add strength in depth to his Anfield squad as the Merseyside club looks to secure an all important spot in the top four.
Celtic battler Kayal has previously been on the Liverpool radar and Dalglish has sent scouts to track the Israeli international last season and the need to bring in another defensive midfield option has become all the more pressing now that Brazilian Lucas Leiva has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Neil Lennon will be loathed to lose the 23 year old as he has become a crucial player at Parkhead, becoming a fan favourite since his move from Maccabi Haifa in July 2010.
Liverpool are also looking to bring in further striking options with Luis Suarez ploughing a lone furrow up front for Dalglish’s side with the likes of Dirk Kuyt and £35m man Andy Carroll failing to gel with the Uruguayan. This has led the Premier League club to consider a move to bring in more fire-power and they are reportedly scouting Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic who has been a prolific marksman for the Ibrox side since he moved to Glasgow 18 months ago.
Jelavic has been strongly linked with a move away from Rangers and has been linked with growing interest south of the border with the likes of Everton and Tottenham said to be interested in the Croatian.
The pair are valued at around £15m and that’s a price Liverpool are more than willing to pay to help their push for a place in the top four.
